"Caspian Geo" LLC is joint venture of SOCAR and BGP Offshore and provides services on collection and processing of seismic data both on land and on the shelf of the Caspian region.

Task

"Caspian Geo" is stable company operating in the field of project development and seismic exploration. In their day-to-day operations, the employees of the company work with a large number of documents and control the implementation of many business processes, in particular, such processes as management of contracts, payment requests, external and internal correspondence.
The management of the company set the task of improving the efficiency of working with documents in 2019 by optimizing and automating existing document management processes.

Solution

Main selection criteria were the interface convenience, as well high performance and reliability of the system. Do IT company, which has significant experience in application of automation systems in Azerbaijan, was chosen as the integrator. Less than 4 months passed from the start of the project to the launch of the system. And it was decided to expand functionality of WSS Docs electronic document management system in 2021. It was decided to implement an integration project, within which WSS Docs system was integrated with 1C accounting system in procurement and contract management processes.

Result

After the application of WSS Docs electronic document management system in 2019, the procedures related to creation, processing and approval of documents, contracts, payment requests were significantly accelerated, the time spent for their searching was reduced, the process became more transparent. The ability to process the procurement documents in electronic form using WSS Docs EDMS accelerated the very procedure on purchasing products and services, thereby eliminating the problem of long procurement procedures. Thanks to the integration between key information systems of the company in 2021, the process of purchasing materials and services accelerated by many times.
